How does the sync folder work?

Updated over 3 months ago

The Drime sync folder allows you to keep files on your computer and in your Drime cloud account automatically up to date.

How it works:

  1. Installation: When you install Drime Desktop, a Drime folder is created on your computer.

  2. Automatic Sync: Any file or folder you add, edit, or delete in the Drime folder is automatically synchronized with your Drime cloud account.

  3. Two-Way Sync: Changes made from the web or mobile app are also reflected in the sync folder on your computer.

  4. File Access: You can access your synced files directly from your computer without needing to log in to the web app.

  5. Conflict Handling: If a file is edited in two locations simultaneously, Drime may create duplicate copies to prevent data loss.

Important Notes:

  • Make sure your computer has an active internet connection for syncing to occur.

  • Large files may take longer to sync depending on your connection speed.

  • You can manage which folders are synced through the Drime Desktop app settings.

  • Deleting files from the sync folder will also remove them from your cloud storage, so be careful when managing files locally.
