Can I protect a shared link with a password?

You can protect a shared link with a password in Drime Drive, but this feature requires at least the Essentials plan.

On the web

  1. Log in to app.drime.cloud/drive.

  2. Right-click the file or folder you want to share and select Share.

  3. Generate a shareable link.

  4. Enable the Password protection option and enter a password.

  5. Copy the link and share it; recipients will need the password to access the content.

On mobile (iOS or Android)

  1. Open the Drime app and locate the file or folder.

  2. Tap the three-dot menu and select Share.

  3. Generate a shareable link and enable Password protection.

  4. Set a password and share the link with recipients.

Notes

  • Password protection is available only for users on the Essentials plan or higher.

  • You can change or remove the password at any time from the share settings.

  • Permissions (view, edit, etc.) still apply alongside the password protection.
