1. Accessing Sharing Options:
Navigate to the file or folder you wish to share within your account.
Right-click on the file or folder, or hover over it and click on the menu icon in the top right corner to reveal the sharing options.
2. Initiating Sharing:
Select the "Share" option from the dropdown menu. This will open a dialog box where you can specify the sharing settings.
3. Choosing Sharing Method:
In the sharing dialog box, you have two main options:
Share via Email: Enter the email address of the user you wish to share the file or folder with. You can also specify their permissions, such as edit, view, or download.
Generate a Link: Alternatively, you can generate a shareable link that can be shared via any messaging platform or copied and pasted into an email or document.
4. Setting Permissions:
If you choose to generate a shared link, you'll have the option to customize permissions before creating the link. These permissions include:
Link Expiration: Set a date or duration after which the link will expire, ensuring temporary access.
Password Protection: Require users to enter a password before accessing the shared content, adding an extra layer of security.
Allow Download: Specify whether users can download the file or folder once they access the shared link.
Allow Import: Enable users to import the shared content into their own accounts, facilitating collaboration.
5. Finalizing Sharing:
Once you've configured the sharing settings to your preference, click on the appropriate button to create the shareable link or send to the user email.
6. Managing Shared Content:
You can easily manage shared content by accessing the sharing settings of the file or folder. Here, you can view a list of users who have access and make changes to their permissions or revoke access altogether.
